About ChatPig

We Built ChatPig Because Talking to Strangers Should Be Fun Again

Somewhere along the way, meeting new people online turned into paperwork. ChatPig is our attempt to bring back the good part.

  • Real people
  • One click
  • Friendly by design
  • Worldwide

ChatPig is a random video chat site with one job: you click once, and a real person somewhere in the world appears on your screen. If what you want is simply to talk to strangers and see where the conversation goes, this page explains who built that for you and why.

Why We Built It

There was a version of the internet where meeting a stranger was a small adventure — you never knew if the next connection would be a student in Seoul, a nurse in São Paulo, or someone two towns over who laughed at the same jokes. Then meeting people online became profiles, swipes, follower counts and algorithms deciding who deserves your attention. The spontaneity got engineered out.

ChatPig exists to put it back. Not the chaos that gave random chat a bad name — the good part: the surprise, the ten-minute conversation with someone you'd never otherwise meet, the reminder that most people everywhere are pretty decent company.

What We Believe

  • A real conversation beats a polished profile. A bio tells you what someone wants you to think. Thirty seconds of video tells you whether you actually click.
  • The door should be low. No sign-up to start, nothing to download, and your first match is free. Curiosity shouldn't require a registration form.
  • Friendly doesn't happen by accident. It's designed: private rooms, block and report one tap away, and a team that reads what users flag.

This is the whole product vision: two strangers, one good conversation.

How We Build the Product

Every match on ChatPig is a private 1v1 video chat — just you and one other person, with nobody else able to listen in. The site runs entirely in the browser, works on phones and laptops alike, and never forces your camera on: text and voice are first-class ways to chat, not consolation prizes.

We're equally deliberate about the money side. Free matches reset daily, upgrades are optional, and prices are shown before you pay — never after. The mechanics are documented in plain language on how ChatPig works, and the habits that keep chats enjoyable are on the safety page. When a product decision trades against user trust, trust wins; that's the whole strategy.

Who's Behind ChatPig

A small team spread across a few time zones: product, engineering, community, and the people who read your reports and support mail. We're not going to pad this page with founder portraits and invented backstories — what actually matters is how we work.

We ship small changes often, we read what users send us, and we treat report volume and support mail as product input rather than noise. When something on the site confuses people, we assume the site is wrong, not the people. That loop — listen, fix, repeat — is most of what "running ChatPig" means day to day.

The spirit of ChatPig — friendly video chat with people worldwide
Built by people who use it. That keeps the standards honest.

Say Hello

Questions, ideas, press or partnership notes — write to us at support[at]chatpig.online (swap the [at] for a regular @ — the odd spelling keeps scrapers from collecting the address). The contact page explains what to include so your message gets a useful answer fast, and we also publish practical guides on the ChatPig blog.

About ChatPig FAQ

What is ChatPig?

A random video chat site that runs in your browser. One click pairs you with a real person somewhere in the world for a private one-on-one conversation — video, voice or text, your choice.

Is ChatPig free to use?

Free to start, every day. Your first match needs no sign-up and no payment, and every user gets a fresh set of free matches daily. Optional upgrades remove the daily limit for people who want to chat non-stop.

Do I need to create an account?

Not to start. You can be chatting within seconds of landing on the site, anonymously. An account only becomes useful if you want to save preferences or make purchases.

Is ChatPig safe?

No chat with a stranger is entirely risk-free, and we won't claim otherwise. ChatPig gives you private rooms, one-tap block and report, and a team that reviews reports — and our safety page teaches the habits that do the rest.

Who runs ChatPig?

A small, distributed team covering product, engineering, community and report review. We're reachable — the support address on this site is read by real people, and user feedback genuinely shapes what we build next.

The Best Way to Understand ChatPig

Reading about random video chat is a bit like reading about roller coasters — the paragraph version never quite lands. One click and thirty seconds will tell you more than this whole page.
